Accessing SubMachine

After installing the extension, SubMachine should now be accessible within Adobe Premiere Pro. To open the extension panel navigate to Window > Extension and select SubMachine.

Logging In:

When you open SubMachine for the first time on a computer you will receive an alert saying “SubMachine is currently unverified.” or “You don’t seem to have logged in on this computer before.”

Select OK to remove the alert. You will then be greeted by a splash screen showing the SubMachine Tutorials & Documentation page. Select Create! In the top right corner to access the main SubMachine user interface (UI). Select the Login tab, the last tab on the right after Advanced Tools. Note that if your SubMachine window is much narrower than the one below Login may be pushed beneath some of the other tabs.

Once in the Login tab enter the email address you signed up for SubMachine with and the license key that you received from Gumroad in the corresponding fields making sure that everything is spelled correctly. Then select the Login button.

If login is successful you should receive an alert saying that you’ve logged in successfully. Then the red dot in the bottom left of the Submachine window will go green and your email address will be listed alongside it. If login is unsuccessful you will receive an alert explaining why. Follow the instructions to login successfully. If this is not successful contact submachine@creativeworkflowsolutions.com.

Workspace Setup: To most easily use SubMachine, we recommend that you set up your Premiere windows to make sure that these windows are all readily available: -The SubMachine extension panel. -The Text panel -The Program Monitor -The Essential Graphics Panel

If you haven’t already, open up the Text panel by navigating to Window > Text and then selecting the Transcription tab.
